Real families • beautiful places • Timeless Memories

I have such a special place in my heart for the military wives who venture into parenthood while their husbands are away. It’s such a an emotional time as it is and I know it’s so difficult for both parents. Planning an In Home Newborn Session with Mary was such a memorable experience. A much needed experience.
Gosh! I love “growing up” with my families! I started photographing Elizabeth, Derek and their boys in 2019 when little Barrett wanted NOTHING to do with me – haha! The kids were so much smaller then and now they’re tweens??! 2019 seems like a year ago when actually 4 years have passed! Anyone else feel that way?
Senior photos hit different when it’s your own kid; especially when it’s the “baby” of the family. There’s already so much excitement going into sessions, but with mine it was just mixed emotions of bitter and sweet! I wanted to go to the famous Sunset Cliffs to work in the water and get that insane golden hour glow the beach gets! & we timed these so that we could get access to this awesome beach at a really low tide.
Getting invited into someone’s home is truly the best privilege. Sometimes getting to capture an in-home Fort Collins newborn session creates even more special memories. Not only do you get your family documented, but in one of the most special places to you and your fam! Ten years from now, when your kids are grown […]
Fall for photographers is filled with so many amazing golden hour family sessions, and EXHAUSTION! I won’t lie, I was tired entering this session with Laura and Bill. But when I tell you I left it so energized and ecstatic, I’m in no way exaggerating!
Andy, Jenna, and the Timboe kids are going to be one of my most missed families when I move! They are the epitome of go-with-the-flow, love-on-your-kids, and enjoy-the-moment kind of people that photographer dreams are made of! They always give me some of my favorite photos, and their Fort Collins family session was no different. Their oldest son Robbie started our first session two years ago by giving me the stink eye, and now I’m pretty sure we are besties!!
I know you aren’t supposed to have favorites, but Tyler, Travis, Quinn, and Jovi are absolutely one of my very favorite families to photograph! We clicked before our first session last winter. I was so excited to schedule their fall golden hour session in October because I really just love everything about their family!
Photographers, you know those sessions that completely energize you for days and weeks?! Lane’s session in Balboa Park was just that for me! I absolutely love doing senior sessions, and they hold a special place in my heart. Lane and I had such a fun time together during her shoot that I find myself thinking about it still!
We have so many aesthetics in the SoCal area to photograph in: beaches, valleys, downtown, etc. We also have mountains, but that certainly takes some logistics and time. As someone on the verge of moving close to the mountains, when Kris asked if I’d be willing to head over to Palomar Mountain for their session I immediately jumped on it for a Mountain family session!
I met Stephanie and Brian way back in 2019 when they came to Carlsbad for a visit. They first booked a couples session – before this Destination family session, but also let me know they were expecting and wanted to do a gender reveal. They are one of those families that I continued to stay in touch with via Instagram and watching their sweet girl grow has been amazing!
