4 ways I try to make your Fort Collins family photo session as easy and seamless as possible; family photo sessions don’t need to be extremely stressful!
Absolutely nothing more magical than your senior session in the Rocky Mountains of Boulder, Colorado as the sun is setting behind you!
It’s the month of model families!! If you’re anything like me, when you started photography-specifically families- you might have had a bit of trouble figuring out how to photograph families with teens. Now it seems like a silly concept, but is is a lot harder to get your 16 year old to laugh without telling their parent to tickle their kid! You see what I mean?!
Maile and her family are back in the US, and I could not be happier that our schedules aligned before I moved! I LOVE when things line up like that! Having sessions with little ones make evenings like this so amazing. They’re at that age where they still laugh when their parents tickle them, and […]
I get a lot of last minute spring senior session requests and I’m beyond happy I had space for Courtney! Usually I get a lot of questions on how to prepare for your senior session. Specifically outfit changes and timing for lighting! When choosing your outfits I always want you to bring stuff you’re comfortable with! So really if that includes sweatpants, bring the sweats!! If you’re like, absolutely not, well then my general rule of thumb in one dressy outfit and one jean outfit. And if you want we could include your cap and gown in part of the session if you have them with you!
Sometimes you work with families that come to their sessions, get all the photos they want, and hopefully wait until next year to meet with them again. Nothing more and nothing less. Just good company for the hour were together. But then there are those families that you absolutely gel with, knowing that we’re here for this hour session, but I’ll talk to you next week too! This family of four is absolutely one of those families!
When a mom reaches out that her daughter is looking for a regal prom session in her dress, you get a little nervous that you can do this justice. She really wanted a grand hotel, but since those are hard to get permissions, we settled for the next best, and I’d say even better, location – Balboa Park in San Diego!
Bring me all the seniors who see a forecast of fog and potential rain and not only roll with it, but absolutely ROCK IT!! India knew her visions for her cliffside portrait session could work in rain or shine! And as much as I love the sunsets on the beach, the fog makes for the dreamiest sessions! She was not phased in the least little bit by the clouds and fog and now looking back I think it made the photos all that much more special.
I have such a special place in my heart for the military wives who venture into parenthood while their husbands are away. It’s such a an emotional time as it is and I know it’s so difficult for both parents. Planning an In Home Newborn Session with Mary was such a memorable experience. A much needed experience.
