We have so many amazing location choices here in the foothills of Fort Collins without the travel to the mountains. We get mountain backdrops, have amazing fields ready for kids to run and dance through, rivers and reservoirs to splash around in, and of course colorful streets and alleys of downtown where there are still nooks to snuggle up in or have a great game of tickle torture.

There is something so magical about the Colorado mountains and Estes Park and Boulder never disappoint for any session. They offer both easy to access spots just steps away from your car, and also epic locations for some hiking and adventure during and before your session. There are rocks to climb, streams to splash in; all with the most beautiful mountains as your backdrop (not that I'm biased!).

I'm here to make your session absolutely effortless from start to finish. Family photo sessions shouldn't be full of stress and anxiety, but instead a time to make even more family memories. I make space for you to play together, laugh together and just as important, snuggle and love together. I go beyond the "holiday card shot" and capture true authentic moments that happen organically with your family.
I pride myself on making sessions fun for everyone and often hear parents and partners say "this was so much more fun and easy than I thought it would be". What better way to have beautiful art on your walls and to share with friends and family than a session where you had the best time with those you love most and a beautiful backdrop too?!

Depending on your preferred method of contact, I'll reach out via phone or email to gather a bit more information and explain the experience you can expect when hiring me as your family's photographer. Once we know we're a good fit we'll go over all the details to get the perfect date and location for your family.

Once we have secured your date on each of our calendars we will get down to details.
I'll send you guides on what to expect, location choices and steps to styling your family for your session date. Just remember that I'm here to help! If you have difficulty deciding on a location I'm happy to send you more photos from those spots to determine what fits your family best. You will have access to my client closet to make styling you and your family easy. We can also video chat to "shop your closet" and pick out the perfect session outfits for everyone.
Woohoo - it's session day!
Whether you're a bit stressed or excited, I'm here to make everyone feel at ease so you can sit back and enjoy the whole experience.
You'll be armed with all the details: what time we'll be meeting, the map pin, parking instructions and even photos to describe the location with my stellar drawing skills when necessary.
I take a few minutes to get acquainted with everyone while we walk to and get settled in our spot. Your session will take 60-75 minutes and will pass so quickly because we'll be having too much fun.
3. session day is here
You can expect your gallery to be delivered within 3 weeks of your session date and most often before that timeframe.
Depending on the collection you've chosen, you will choose your favorite photos and within 72 hours you'll have those photos in your hands to download, print and share!
If you have chosen a package that does not include all the edited photos, you'll have the opportunity to purchase additional digital files if desired. Although not required, you will have the option to order prints through your gallery via a professional printing lab.

Scheduled my first shoot with Christa in 2020 the summer we moved to CA, and just had our last shoot with her the night before we left CA. She has photographed our family through adding a baby and watching both kiddos grow, she did my maternity photos, and she did my branding photos. Every single time I am blown away! Christa is amazing!! She was so wonderful from the start with helping us decide locations and outfits for our family pictures. She answered any and all questions and had tons of very helpful suggestions. Our shoot was so FUN! She was attentive to our little ones and showed she really cares about making the experience special. She is super patient and encouraging, and just made the whole experience a blast! The results of the shoot were absolutely stunning. The hardest part was narrowing down which pictures to use for cards/prints because we loved them all! Overall, we were so pleased with the whole experience and can’t wait to use Christa for photos in the future!!
