Worth the Wait – Carlsbad, CA Family Photographer
I feel beyond honored to photograph this beautiful family not once, but twice. Brittney contacted me for maternity photos first, which I absolutely love. Unfortunately for us, Carlsbad and all of SoCal decided that the entire spring and early summer here needed to include an abundance of clouds and fog and an inadequate amount of sunshine and beautiful sunsets that we’re all used to around here. We went with it though and Brittney was a trooper. I love combining different settings for photos and lucky for me Brittney and Sean wanted to have a few photos in home before we moved over to the beach.
Seriously. Is she not the cutest mama to be that you’ve ever seen in your whole life??!! And Sean was just smitten over her (as it should be!). I loved how he just doted over her during our whole session.
On our way back from the beach we found this amazing cliff of flowers and greenery, which is one of the upsides of all the rain and clouds here in Southern CA. Unfortunately it also meant lots of bugs, which apparently love to FEAST on Brittney!! I think we made it about 2.5 minutes before she was covered, but I’m so happy we at least grabbed 1 photo. I love her dress and beautiful hair against that floral cliff!
Fast forward about 6ish weeks later and this beautiful bundle made her arrival into the world and straight into her mom and dad’s hearts!
She is beyond perfect and they are of course so in love with this precious girl. They waited a very long time for her. Lots of heartache, determination and perseverance to get her here. She is truly a miracle baby and I couldn’t have been more honored to photograph her in her first 24 hours of life.
You guys her daddy could not get enough of her!! I could see my husband in him as well and loved watching Sean with his new daughter. Not sure what to do, how to do it, etc. and that was Terry and I with Maya in those first months. Who am I kidding; that’s us now too!! But he just sat and stared at her and it was amazing to watch and be part of with them!
Now, let’s take a look at these windows in Saddleback Hospital for a minute. I will pretty much only be photographing my Fresh 48s in this hospital from now on!! I can guarantee a photographer was in on the design of this Labor and Delivery wing!
Thank you again Brittney, Sean and Scarlett!
