We have T minus 3 weeks until the oldest has a birthday. She is so excited to be "9 on the 9th"!!!
It's important to say it with as much gusto as possible! She is so cute and is in full party planning mode! We don't do parties every year so this year she was promised she could have one. She has gone with a pool/summer theme which I'm relieved of because it means no paper plates with a Disney star face on it. Not that I don't love me some iCarly, but it's a little unsettling to eat cake off of her face.
And thank goodness for Pinterest because that is where all my party plans and ideas are going for right now. That means I don't have 384 things bookmarked and trying to find where each came from when I need it. I'm thinking a pink/lime green color scheme with some yellow touches and found some perfect ideas for that:
I am loving so many of these ideas and will incorporate several I think. I figure my trusty new Silhouette should get me through most of the plans and when I'm delirious from cutting and gluing then I'll run to the party store and get the rest!
I also think these are absolutely adorable and easily done with the Silhouette:
The last party she had was hands down my favorite. We rented one of those big waterslides and called it done, which definitely up my planning alley! The kids and adults both had fun and if I had the yard space this year I would just have a re-do!
This was featured in the new Memory Makers Idea Book about that party.
So, what are some of your favorite party planning sites and inspiration? I'm always on the hunt for more ideas!
