“They bloom where they are planted”
I heard this quote for the first at a military spouses gathering and at first thought it was hokey. I scoffed at it until our most recent move to Okinawa. I realized that our girls have done an amazing job with all 5 of their moves so far. They have been cooperative, excited and resilient even in the face of obstacles they face. They DEFINITELY have bloomed where they are planted!
I used that quote for my most recent Pebbles blog post for How To Tuesday. I’ve seen these flowers several places, but wanted to do a quick tutorial for those that maybe have not seen them yet. They were super easy and very fun to make too, which is a bonus in my book!
I punched out 8 circles from patterned paper:
Fold those in half once, then in half again:
Then fold 2 corners up so that they look like this:
Turn it over and fold those 2 sides up again so that they meet in the middle along the previously folded line:
Then attach them to a punched circle all the way around until you end up with this:
Voila, easy peasy!
