The Gift of Love and Light – Carlsbad, CA Family Photographer
To have someone hire me to take photos for them is flattering enough for me. To have them then gift a session to a friend means way more than I could ever express. My friend Jen was kind enough to gift a family session for family friends before they left the San Diego area in March. Emily and her girls were headed back to the Midwest while Rick deploys for some time and we were lucky enough to find time to squeeze in a family session before they left.
We headed out to Felicita Park in Escondido and it turned out to be an even better location than I thought it would be. Lots of trees, green, trails and best of all in my opinion – beautiful filtered sun!
When we came together before the session started, I told Emily and Rick I just wanted them to have a relaxing hour together, having fun and loving on each other. To which Rick replied, “that’s easy”. I love it when dads are all in during sessions. I know it’s a bit unnerving having an outsider get in your face as you cuddle and love on your family, but the photos that come from those moments are priceless to me. They are only this little once and they’ll look back at these photos and absolutely love them!
They walked, played and cuddled and hopefully the photos are a great reminder of their time in sunny SoCal!
Thank you so much Emily, Rick and girls; and especially Jen for the gift of photos!
