I feel like May is rolling right past us and there isn't a thing I can do about it to slow it down. Lots of activities, lots of meetings at work and lots of house prep before we begin "Living Apart 2011". It's fun stuff though so I'm trying to relish it all.
Yesterday we were off to Maya's first ever piano recital and she was nervous and excited all in one. She knew one thing for sure: a fancy dress MUST be worn and she wanted us to bring her red roses, but plastic, "because real ones die and I want to keep them forever". So sweet!
You know what? She NAILED it! So, so proud of her! She's only been taking lessons since January and she kept getting more nervous, the more people that came in the church to sit down. She didn't miss a note or get flustered! She was awesome!
And as is usual in the military community: a farewell dinner with some sweet friends/neighbors. I love getting to know all the great people along the way, but this is hand's down my least favorite part. I'm horrible at good byes, especially when it's quality people with no BS attached. We had a great evening though so I'm thankful for that.
Today? Recovery, assignments, test prep for Maya and the last of the indoor swim lessons. Hoping for some laziness this afternoon!
Thank you all so much for the congrats and words of encouragement! It means so much and I'm so excited about this new opportunity!
If you are blog hopping today, then head on over to the Creating Keepsakes Blog where Rachel was guest hosting yesterday! You could be entered to win a May kit from Scrapbooking From The Inside Out and it's just plain gorgeous.
Have a great Sunday!
