We had a whirlwind trip to visit family and friends in Indiana, but it was a fun whirlwind. The girls flew for the first time since that fateful trip 3.5 years ago when I vowed NEVER to fly with one Ella G. ever again. I still have mental and emotional scars from that one. I'm happy to say that this one not only went well, but was fantastic, even with some slight delays. We are now that family that families with babies and toddlers look to with an envious eye. Kids carry their own backpack, we don't have 639 pounds of "gear" and and a simple MP3 player will keep them happy. Ahhh….
I won't bore you, but here are a few highlights of our trip over the river and through the woods to see Grandma and Papa:
Papa was brave enough to tackle a gingerbread house and 2 girls who love to lick frosting:
We also played Headbandz several times, which is rather comical when you have a certain 5 year old someone ask "Am I an animal?", then immediately ask "Am I a pet?" after we already tell her she's not an animal! And we all look like dorks sitting around with our fantastic blue headbands!
And someone I know is DYING to take piano lessons (working on that this week) and when Uncle Jim sat down to play for her and show her some notes, she was mesmerized and even more jazzed (pun intended) to start some lessons!
I'm jumping on the bandwagon and doing a quick scrappy re-cap of 2010. It was an amazing year for me scrap wise and I'll never forget it. I was selected for awesome design teams and published in several magazines so definitely a good year! I can only hope to maintain that for the upcoming year.
I love Studio Calico kits and made several of my favorites from those kits alone:
Of course I love my Pebbles products and made some of my favorites from there too:
Some were just my favorites because of the subject matter, photos or I just plain loved how it turned out:
Now, onto more creating today! Can't wait!
I'm ready for 2011! That's my word this year too: ready. Ready for new challenges, more opportunities, possibilities, all of it.
Happy New Year!
