Oh Christmas Tree
I'm not great at altering items, especially at the holidays, but this project I definitely recommend! I bought a small foam cone at Michael's and went to work adding paper and embellishment to it, using Creative Memories holiday papers. I sat down and finished it in one evening, which is quite astonishing since I'm normally fairly slow at these kinds of things! Especially now-busy, busy, but the good and fun kind of busy! So, here's the finished product:
I just used the larger (1.5") punch and layered the papers over one another to cover the entire base. I added a few stickers to some of the paper, added a star to the top and it was done. Very easy!
You can see it up on the Creative Memories Project Center for their 12 days of Christmas projects. Lots of fun stuff over there!
I'll be back tomorrow with a giveaway. I've been very fortunate recently with design teams and publications that my scrapping drawers runneth over! I have a big box of goodies to pass along, including lots of Tattered Angels goodies. I love their stuff, but I never know what to do with it and it just sits there, which is a shame. I also have a couple of Scrapbook Trends magazines from the summer to throw in there too. I know they're older, but still full of great layouts and projects.
Have a great Monday!
