I wanted to share my 2nd assignment I completed for the Spring Issue of Scrapbook and Cards Today. I created a layout for the scraptastrophies article focusing on covering up those mistakes that happen on pages, especially when you’re this close to being done. I’ve done it and I’ve screamed and walked away before I tore it up! My layout focused on that awful mistake and feeling over ripping a hole in a layout when you’re putting those final stitches in a page (ack!)
And I thought it only fitting I scrap these photos from a recent all day sewing extravaganza Maya and her friend had. They had so much fun attempting to make doll clothes, then deciding that pillows and blankets for their dolls were good enough! I believe I unjammed the machines about 174 times, but they were determined and kept plugging away.
I love sewing on my pages, but always have a fear of this rip, especially since I have a very cheap machine and snags happen quite often. Luckily, with all the embellishments out there, there is always something to cover up the mistakes.
Voila-all covered! I was fortunate enough to work with the Fancy Pants Trendsetter collection for this layout. I love the colors, especially the navy blue since that can be hard to find in paper collections!
For those of you taking part in National Scrapbook Day activities, the Scrapbook and Cards Today blog will be hosting hourly inspiration and giveaways happening throughout the day too. Always a good time over there and they get some amazing prizes so make sure and stop by!
