For the Love of Silliness and Creativity – Newport Rhode Island Photographer
I’ve only known Kassie less than two years, but feel like we’ve been friends for many years. We clicked pretty quickly because we have the same sick and twisted sense of humor and personality. We also practically lived next to each other in Indiana, although I could have been her babysitter when she was in elementary school!!
Kassie and I started up businesses here in Okinawa right around the same time and she’s been such a great source in that process. What I love is that I can get honest input and thoughts on some of the photography and business ideas I have. I love the cheerleaders in my corner, and happy to have someone who keeps me on track too!
Make sure to go visit Kassie’s fun and creative business here: Crafts and Carafes. It’s a great way to get ladies together to create something fun while drinking some grape juice or other beverage of choice!
She and her husband were one of my first clients when I opened my business and we did some headshots for her at the time. Because we are both a little kooky and definitely do not take ourselves seriously it was decided that those were a little too “formal” and she came up with a brilliant idea. We headed out to an awesome spot here on the island with about a kilometer of weird and beautiful painted murals. It’s a beautiful backdrop for fun and colorful headshots.
We had a little too much fun and I think probably scared some Japanese out of their cars! The painted arms and face, grape juice in wine glasses and glitter blowing in the wind probably made us look crazier than we already are.
Kassie was kind of enough to help me out with some new business/head shots of my own. Hopefully it helps convey the type of photography I prefer to do!
Thanks again Kassie – I had so much fun!
