For the Love of Color – Stuttgart, Germany Family Photographer
**As a reminder I am not yet in Stuttgart Germany, but am making the transition, via Google, for my business to get set up there when we arrive this summer**
My awesome friend and co lover of Newport’s Corner Cafe was kind enough to think of me when this great couple added a member to their family in March. Instead of gifting flowers, my good friend’s husband and his class gifted this family a newborn photo session. I could not be more happy about that! Photos don’t die and it’s such a thoughtful gift.
I went over to meet them when little R was just 2 weeks old and this is just the sweetest family! As with all new parents, they are smitten with their little guy, but dad especially is just in awe of him!
Kim and Mic are both from the Pittsburgh area so I felt a bit of a kindred spirit since I married into a family of Pittsburgh natives. And you know what it means if you’re from Pittsburgh, right?! It means that your child’s first towel is most definitely a Terrible Towel!
I absolutely loved working with Kim and Mic. I know for me I was a complete wreck when I had my first daughter and they were just so laid back and easy going that it made my “job” so easy that day! It helps that Mr. R was also pretty laid back and easy to settle when he did get worked up.
And I can’t say enough about their style either. Love all the color in their home, decor and especially for their wardrobe the day of the photos. I couldn’t have asked for a better setting to have this lifestyle session. I bent Kim’s ear on her styling and I am now more than excited to get to Germany since she said many of the things came from there! Now if only I can get her there with me to go do some shopping.
I love the “Quiet Book” that was in the nursery when I was in getting some detailed shots, but have a huge love for it after they told me that Kim’s sister made it by hand for Mr. R. Wow! And on top of that – she’s never made a book like that before. Needless to say I’m impressed!
So happy I was able to work with this beautiful family and have a chance to get to know them. Thank you so much again to my friend for suggesting this gift and to Kim and Mic for being so welcoming!
