We had quite a week and weekend last week. Last Wednesday we found out that this time next year we will be transplanted here:
Yep, that would literally be the other side of the world! Aacckkkk!
We knew it was a possibility, but it never really sets in until the news actually comes. I'm so beyond proud of my husband. It was his first time submitting for a command position and received his 1st choice on his first try. Seriously, I couldn't be more proud of him!
And what an opportunity for our family and our girls. Spending 2 years in another culture and have the ability to visit many other countries in the process is priceless. They are old enough to remember it and hopefully appreciate it too.
I'm pretty sure with a view like that I'll be able to settle in quickly and appreciate the views and the opportunities!
I'm fairly nervous about the whole moving process since we've never done an international move before, but lots of people do it and I'll be asking all my military friends for advice!

And my girl had her friend birthday party and it turned out really well! We don't do parties every year for the girls; partly because I'm a horrible planner and it stresses me out and partly because um, well, we're cheap!
She had a pool party with a handful of friends from school and Girl Scouts. Everyone got along so great and quite honestly it was one of the easiest parties we've done. Maybe it's the age? But easy for mama with no drama is good!
We headed back to our house for some ice cream cake and fun! I actually went all out (for me anyway) for the decorations and luckily the birthday girl really appreciated it all. She told me "it just looks so beautiful mom"! I was so, so happy she liked them. Love that girl!
Overall, very successful and happy that the birthday girl was happy. Successful party down in the books!
Even the mama had time to get a little silly with the girls!
And today we celebrate the handsome daddy's birthday-it's the last year of his 30's!!
Happy Monday!

And how I love to know that I am not the only mama out there who is too cheap to go ‘all out’ in the way that some folks do. It’s spendy and gone so quick. It looks beautiful even so and sounds like you really made it special for her!
