Back To Where It All Began
Way back in 1998 I was still a fairly newly married woman living in lovely Jacksonville, NC. I was new to the military, new to marriage, newish to the full time working world and didn't have a clue about scrapbooking. Sure I had made my fair share of collages in high school and enjoyed looking at my mom's sticky back albums filled with those 1970s and 80s photos of us, but that was it!
A fellow military wife invited me to a Creative Memories party she was having as a consultant. I was hooked after that, not as much as now, but hooked nonetheless! No way I'm showing my first layouts though-very embarrassing! That was the beginning of recording our family memories and combining that with pretty papers and embellishments.
Imagine my complete shock when I submitted my work and was asked to move onto the 2nd round!! Holy Cow and look at all those other talented ladies on that list! We were sent the Very Merry Kit and although I was trepid at first since I'm not a very good holiday scrapper, I soon found what I wanted to do. Luckily I had a photo that I had held back from last Christmas and it was perfect! So I created this layout:
I also made these tags for some gifts for this Christmas:
To add utter shock to complete shock:
So excited to be working alongside some amazingly talented ladies! You can find all kinds of great projects here.
And it officially ends my design team rejection streak!!
