I have been blessed at both overseas duty stations to live among families who are so fun and make me happy to have been placed in the spot we were when we arrived. I met Elizabeth and her family the day we arrived when we had a building BBQ to welcome all of us that had just arrived to Stuttgart and the building.
Most summers our apartment buildings go through big changes with many families coming and going. We were blessed our first full summer to have no one move away from our building so lots of patio time ensued together that summer!
Sadly, Elizabeth and her family moved away this past summer and we’re definitely missing them with all the building changes. Fortunately for me we had time to sneak in a photo session before they departed and I was introduced to a new location that quickly became a new favorite for me.
We went trekked over to Musberg/Leinfelden with beautiful traditional half timbered buildings, a small, but still fun playground and my favorite – big open fields with that glorious sun (when it shows up) making an appearance behind them.
I’ve already taken a few other families here and have a feeling many more will go there before we make our trek out of Germany next summer for our own new adventure. Here’s hoping the Bones’ new adventure is as great as Germany and hoping our paths cross again some day.
