I was reminded this morning after I saw this beautiful lady that I never blogged their fun session from way back in the spring. It also made me look fondly at a beautiful Stuttgart morning since it’ll be a while before this pleasantness is back again…
We have a few delays with this session because of said weather. I’m pretty sure their first original date was postponed because, you guessed it, snow. In April. In Germany. However, she and her family are so super sweet and flexible and eventually we were blessed with a good morning to head out to a green open space to let her family and boys have some free play.
I’m grateful to my friend and fellow photographer Kalyn, for introducing me to this space. I’ve taken three families here now and it never disappoints. Lots of beautiful trees, open space and very few people getting in our backgrounds so it’s always perfect!
Ericka and her husband are pretty much the epitome of laid back and easy going. I have to admit that rather than the kids, it’s the dads I try to win over first. If I get them on board then the session goes much more smoothly and we all have fun. I didn’t have to win Shawn over because he was fully on board and ready to play with the boys while I snapped away!
It took very little explaining to Ericka and Shawn what my goal was in their session. I like getting true interactions between families with very few posed and staged photos. They are complete and utter naturals!
We had so much fun running around, blowing bubbles and just laughing. I can’t wait to get them back in front of the camera this spring before we leave beautiful Germany. It was amazing this morning to see how big that sweet baby has already gotten in just a few short months!
